Post by Polarsmurf »

hey, i got this lcd a long time ago and I have forgotten what the voltage is on it. I fried a different one because I didn't pay attention to this 'small' detail and don't care to make the same mistake. i know its 20x4 but unsure which voltage. if someone could help me out and tell me which voltage and which wires on a powersupply i need to swap (and order in the plug) I would greatly appreciate it. below is a picture (appologize for size as it was crucial to show more detail).

if that doesn't work... try it manually http://polarsmurf.tripod.com/lcd.JPG

Well the Board says LK204-25 / VK204-25 so one of those :) Is it a VFD or LCD?

it's lcd.. i'm pretty sure its just +5v but wanted to besure. i guess if it was 12v and i plugged in 5v it wouldnt harm as much as trying the reverse. just trying to save some hassle.

The unit you are referring to is the LK204-25, 5 Volt module. On how to modify the power cable, please see the following llink for the manual: http://www.matrixorbital.com/manuals/ht ... /index.htm
