I just got it about 30 minutes ago, plugged it into a usb port and nothing happens, no power to the unit, and windows doesnt see it. I tried all 8 usb ports and still no go.
Maybe there is something else i need to do besides pluging it into a usb port?
Other wise im pretty sure its dead.

This would be one of those exceptions. Unfortunately the start up current of this display is more than the USB port can handle, therefore an alternate power source is required!!

I also thought that lcdc would utilize all four lines to display stuff. But its only using the top 2. Im assuming i have to learn how to use lcdc more in order to get it to spread everything else over 4 lines?
