I was a little anxious to get my new HTPC up and running, and forgot about that special power connector.. I tried all kinds of cables, but nothing worked. (this means floppy connector and some other connector of the same type with purple and black wires..) Now I found the original power cable, but when connected, the PSU won't let the computer boot
It doesn't even reach POST or anything, the power is on for less than a second and then goes off. Does this indicate a short? The PSU has some kind of built-in protection for those things.I receive response from the VFD through the LCD tester program supplied by MO, but there are no characters showing on the display.
Are there any more tests I can run before giving up? Can I send it in for repair? Am I totally screwed?
I really liked the look and fast response of the display...
