Strange Caracters on my MX2

Post by tsarlie »

Hi. First off all i want to say that my MX2 is one of the best products that i
have ever bought. I have this small problem. On every screen that I build
containing Date (Day-Month in text) i see on my LCD strange non readable characters.
I am sure that's because I live in Greece and my regional setting are all set to Greek. Is there any wayto eliminate this problem.

Thank you
Tom

Were you also able to display text fine?
Are you using LCDC?

Strange characters on my MX2

Post by tsarlie »

Yes I can see English characters, symbols etc. I am using LCDC with windows
XP English but I have set everything in Regional Settings to Greece/Greek
in order to be able to read-write and view Greek text and WEB pages, so
the full date on my PC is not in English but in Greek (Day-Month). The strange characters appear on the MX2 only if I build a screen in LCDC that contains the Day or the Month.I did a test right now and i tried to write a text in Greek but LCDC did not recognize any off the characters that i typed. Could LCDC be the problem?

I so sorry Tom for all the trouble. I think i found the problem. LCDC does
not support non English Alphabet characters and I have to build an
ICM file in order to support it. Thank you for your reply and please forgive
me but i am new in the LCD world.
