Lead-free/European RoHS directive

Post by andymarkpage »

Hi,

I think I asked this question last year and you were going to get back to me...

Are Matrix Orbital considering/in the process of converting to lead-free product? Furthermore will the products be compliant with the European RoHS directive (restricted use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBDE, PBB)?
If not, I will need to look for some alternative parts for my design. We currently have the LK162-12 designed in to a new product that must be RoHS compliant by the end of the year.

Thanks,
Andy Page

Hello, our future product directive towards leadfree within Matrix Orbital is in the process. We have been in contacted with our current suppliers and they too are aware of this legislation. Engineering teams are working to comply to the new safety certification before JAN.2006.

Bernadine
