I got my display yesterday, yay!! Everyting worked fine, registered my copy of LCDC and everything..
When I came back from work today the screen was flashing, when I say flashing all the LCD pixels were on, then changing back to the normal screen.. this seems to happen at random intervals.
At first I thought that it was an event timer gone wrong with LCDC but even when my PC is booting up and have the default matrix orbital screen on this contrast switch can happen. Further playing with things shows that if I set the contrast to 0 using LCDC for a few seconds the flashing will stop.. but even with the contrast at 0 this can still happen.
I am starting to think it
LK204-24-USB contrast problems
Hi Thickey,
Thank you for posting.
Are you using an internal USB? Also try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. Even try removing them from the registry. The location of the registry and the latest drivers can be found at http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1016 .
Hopefully that works out for you.
Keep me posted.
Best Regards,

Hi Tom
OK I am almost 100% sure that this is now a hardware problem, I removed and re-installed the drives onto my laptop and all was working well for half an hour or so. Then the contrast carried on going up to solid pixels and back to the normal setting. The longer that the display is plugged in the more frequent the contrast going high is, until it stops flashing and stays on full
I then plugged the display into another computer, this has never had an lcd display plugged into it before now so I am quite sure its virgin territory. As soon as I plugged it in and installed the 1.4 drives the display went black. I loaded up the display tuner app and changed the contrast.. Setting it to 0 I was able to see the matrix orbital logo as it should be at 50% or so contrast, like this the display flashes again when it goes to
