LCD Stats. This is what I get on install

<a href="http://www.wcmark.com/files/installerror.jpg">First</a>
<a href="http://www.wcmark.com/files/installerror2.jpg">Second after hitting ignore.</a>

Then when I try to run the program.

<a href="http://www.wcmark.com/files/lcdstatsrun.jpg">I get this message.</a>

Then the backlight shuts off and won't come on unless I power down.

Information:
WinME OS
LCD Stats is the ONLY program installed that pertains to ANYTHING to do with the LCD screen(This means, no LCD center no LCdriver, nothing. Quite frankly I don't exactly no what I need on my computer to get anything to work. Any tutorial I've found assumes that I already know about LCD screens and already know which programs I need on my system, therefore it's far to vague for me to even comprehend WHAT I need and WHERE I need to have it installed and WHEN I need to use it.)

P.S. I'm going to play RA3, I need to vent
The errors you get when installing is not a problem if you do as you did, ignore and continue anyway. But, LCDstats requires Motherboard Monitor version 5.1 or above to run and that could be the cause of the third problem.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try.

I really don't mean to be a pain in the ass but to be truthful. The CD provided by Matrix could be a little more thorough with it's instructions. All that's on it are a bunch of zip files that a newbie like me would have absolutely no idea what to do with. As I have proved.

I'll give it a whirl

Excellente. Thank-you guys very much. That works now.

Next question, which app or plugin do I need to make the time clock show and in big font like in the matrix demo?

I have one of the apps in the startup folder (SpecialK's LCDtime) and everytime I start the computer the splash screen is on and backlit but when it starts the app the backlight shuts off and the only way I can get the backlight back on is to power off, then power on again.
Whoopsy
That's not your fault, that's mine! With LCDriver 1.0, I would have to do lcdSendCharacter &H11& to turn the backlight on my Wirz backpack LCD and lcdSendCharacter &H12& to turn it off. With the new version of LCDriver, when you call lcdRequest, the control panel will automatically turn on the backlight.

In summary, it seems that a feature that worked with LCDriver 1.0 has become a bug for LCDriver 1.2

I'll fix it right away and upload the fixed source code (hopefully everything will be happ then)

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of their help. I've now got LCdriver up and running(the big revelation was getting MOBO monitor running after that everything fell in line.) I've been farting around with UIC and it seems pretty good.

SpecialK, I love your stuff. It would be really cool to see your stuff incorporated into one big plugin, like a UIC or something like that. No pressure

Anyway, thanks again everyone.

Grrrr....Okay one last question then I leave everyone alone  (yeah right)

Can LCdriver and LCDcenter2.0 co-exist on the same system? Are there any conflicts? Just want to know before I install.

Yes and no.
As long as LCDcenter does not use the port that LCDriver uses, you shouldn't have a problem. To avoid this conflict you can use the LCDriver option in LCDcenter. LCDcenter will use LCDriver to send data and you won't have to worry  Both can and should coexist peacefully. Btw, does LCDtime work now? (I removed that sendcharacter for the backlight...)

LCDtime works great I haven't actually tried throwing it into the startup folder but I will. Right now I'm going to give LCDcenter a whirl.

P.S. I ASSume that Henry is teasing, making reference to LCdriver 2.0. It isn't available to us yet is it?

Honestly? Sorry to tell you I took it off my system, I couldn't get it to work properly. I likely didn't spend enough time on it so I wouldn't read too much into me not using it. I was just happy to get something up on the screen so it will likely be a while before I start messing with it again. The key was getting MBM working, after that your program started no problem(obviously).

Is it true that your program can not be on the same system with LCdriver like Henry said?

Don't worry your program is great and I will likely take a look at it more closely because it seems to do a lot more. LCdriver and it's plugins was an easy and quick fix when I started to understand it. I still don't understand LCDcenter 2.0 but like I said when I have more time I'll look into all my options.

In a nutshell. What I saw of your program was really nice and I will look at it in depth later.

As long as they don't try to access the same com port at the same time there shouldn't be a problem.
