Hi,
I bought an MX512, but I ended up changing cases to an A-Tech one which
provides mounting for the VK204-24-USB built into the case. I'm going to
remove the VFD from the bay insert, and while I'm at it, I want to switch
the filter from a blue one to a grey one. However it looks to me that the
blue filter is permanently attached to the VFD. Is it possible to remove
the blue filter from my VFD? and if so, do you have any tips to avoid
damaging the unit?
Also, any gotchas I need to be aware of when mounting the VFD into
the A-Tech case?
Thanks.

how to change filter on MX512
Hi erikt,
Thank you for posting at our forms.
Unfortunately it is impossible to take off the filter once it is put on. The longer the adhesive is left on the more it sets.
When mounting the display in your case, please use some standoffs. The reason why you need to use standoffs is to prevent the glass from touching the case. Do not leave the display touching the case or you will risk it being damaged.
Best Regards,
