mx212 is listed as an "unknown device" by winxp

Post by kairex3 »

i've tried everything already; uninstall in device manager, switch usb ports, etc.

i once got it to work when i plugged in the small floppy power connector onto it and booted. it was detected properly by xp, but then after i rebooted, it reverted into an "unknown device" yet again, with or without the floppy connector.

i'm all out of ideas and i'm really sleepy.

i'd really be grateful to anybody who can help me.

here are my specs:
a64 3200+ oc'ed
dfi lan party sli-d
6800gt
550w psu
2 optical drives
2 ide hdds
only 2 usb devices- a printer and a webcam.
win xp sp2

Hi kairex3,

Thank you for posting at the LCD discussion forums.

Do you have access to an ohm meter to check continuity?

anyway, i've gotten the unit to work already. i removed the floppy power connector (what's it called anyway? lol) from the lcd and it worked great thereafter.

thanks for trying to help, matrix orbital. kudos to your tech support. :)
