I've had an MX2 for a while now, and I just built a new computer, planning on putting the screen into it. Anyways, I got all the latest drivers installed (v 1.4) and just installed the newest version of LCDC, and under the device manager it says that the MX2 is in COM4, along with another entry in the USB tree. When I run LCDC's auto detect it scans COM1, COM3 (which it says is in use) and COM4, then continues on to say that "No screen can be found".
Any ideas?
I already tried about 10 times to reinstall the drivers and all that lovely stuff, but it had no effect, it still wont detect no matter what I do.
This is what my device manager looks like, everything appears to be working fine. (See attachment) I also tried to use Uproject's Auto Detect Feature, and got an error message. (See attachment of screenshot for this one as well)
Yes, and now it asks me to install a RAID driver, I tried getting the MX2 to connect before I did anything with the driver prompt, but LCDC still cant find it.
Can you try to get the raid controller working first to elimate other factors that are causing the conflict on the com port? Also, you can try installing the display into another pc to eliminate if it is the pc or display.
I'm working on the RAID controller right now, and the screen used to work on my old PC (which is not together anymore) but I haven't had it working since I put it in my new computer.
--Ok the RAID controller is now working. Screen still won't connect.
After I fixed the RAID driver I reinstalled EVERYTHING (Drivers, LCDC, Deleted files in Registry) then plugged the screen in when my computer was restarted and on the desktop. It detected the screen, I pointed it towards the new drivers (v1.4) and installed those, ran LCDC and it worked.
Thanks alot, I'm impressed by the speed and helpfullness of the tech support
