Difference between LK-202-25 and LK-202-25-V

Post by n@boleo »

I would like to know a secure way to fine if a LK model is wide voltage or not :

Currently there is only a "LK-202-25" written on the board (revision 1.5), but there is also a cylinder, a 78M05 component (AFAIK this is a +5V regulator) and something who looks like a capacitor "10-20 N2" directly after the power connector.

Plugging it directly to a +5VDC, doesn't power up the backlight as expected, it is only very very low ... and I can't display anything on it for now.

Any chance this model is a wide voltage one ? Any secure way to discorver it and do not brake it ?
Is my LCD is already out of order ?

Thanks for your reply

Hi n@boleo,

Yes, the display you have is a Wide Voltage one. Give the display 12VDC (or 8VDC to 15VDC) and all will be good.
