Hi, I have purchased a Matrix Orbital MX412 within the last week. Getting used to the software took a while but I have got there. If you dont mind, I have a few questions to ask please:
1. I did not recieve an activation code for LCDC. I am only a week into the trial but how can I go about getting one?
2. I looked about on these forums to find out how to get the fans to register there RPM with the display. They have three pins, the speed sometimes appears and sometimes doesnt. How can I go about getting this to register, and how can I edit the percentage, I tried and failed using the buttons.
3. I have installed the Teamspeak and Windows Media Player plugins. I have installed these ok, I have also made some screens. But how do I make a display on the lines of the screen. Surely the plugins should be provided with screens that you can import?
4. How can I change the F1, F2 and F3 to the functions that I want them to do?
5. My motherboard is the Asus A8N32, no support for motherboard 5 is provided for this. Is this going to be supported soon, do I have to request it?
Thanks in advance,
Andy

Mrajprice87,
The LCDC activation key is supposed to be on a sticker on the mini-cd that came with the MX4. If it is not please email me at jklassen@matrixorbital.ca.
Try searching the LCDC.cc forums for some of your LCDC related questions, as that is likely the quickest way for you to solve those problems. The members on the forums there are very knowledgable about the software as well.
Oh and welcome to the LCDForums! Let me know if your search turns up anything.

Re: Problems With Matrix Orbital MX412
Thanks Jon for all your help, I now have a registered copy.
I still have not been able to find out the answers to my questions, I must not be looking in the right places lol.
A question I have that hopefully could be answered, is the display compatable with Media Center 2005 as I am having driver issues on my PC causing it to crash often.
Regards Andy

Hi Andy... Sorry for the delay
1. LCDC key - done and done
2. I looked about on these forums to find out how to get the fans to register there RPM with the display. They have three pins, the speed sometimes appears and sometimes doesnt. How can I go about getting this to register, and how can I edit the percentage, I tried and failed using the buttons.
What type of fans are you using? Do they normall register their RPM's with let's say your motherboard?
3. I have installed the Teamspeak and Windows Media Player plugins. I have installed these ok, I have also made some screens. But how do I make a display on the lines of the screen. Surely the plugins should be provided with screens that you can import?
There are a lot of plugins at PlasticRandom.net that you might want to go through
4. How can I change the F1, F2 and F3 to the functions that I want them to do?
That's all all a part of LCDC, have you had any luck with this yet?
5. My motherboard is the Asus A8N32, no support for motherboard 5 is provided for this. Is this going to be supported soon, do I have to request it?
You would have to put forward a request for this.
Sorry about all the sort replies. I am pretty pressed for time right now. The display isn't 100% compatible with Media center yet... Sorry. I'll try to help you out more when I get a chance.

Hi Jon, thanks for your time right now, I mean that
I am using Nexus D12SL-12 Black & White 120mm Fans and they do register with my motherboard the speed they are running at. I am getting the fan speeds all the time on the display now, but how do I slow the speed of them?
I have all the plugins I think I require now thanks so I think I am ok there
Sorry I am not able to find where I can edit the function keys in the LCDC software
Dont worry about the motherboard support I am using speedfan and lcdstudio to display the information on my Logitech G15 keyboard.
Reply when you get time, no rush.
Regards Andy

Hi Andy,
Which plugin are you using to receive the fan speeds? You may use the event's tab of the screen builder to control the plugin which controls the fans.
This is also the same area where you can set the function keys. (the event name is sys->Keypad Press)
Please let me know if you need more detail, maybe I'll put up a tutorial or something.
