I received your display ..power up is working
Communication .. little problem ..don't work
could you confirm the connection to the db9 connector on board
pin5 ground
pin2 tx (or rx)
pin3 rx (or tx)

i did this connection: ext power +5volts and its working ok (left connector)
com1 pc (db9)connected to your db9 connector with the 3 pins as described

With the power up i measured from pin 2 to 5 -9.81volts (without pc serial connection)
does it correct?
