Keypad Does Not work for MX610 with LCDC

I am having several issues trying to get things working with this display. I do love it though. Just want the keypad to work and I am also having issues with the Weather plugin.

I downloaded the uProject app to see if the keypad functioned and it tested ok. I saw responses in the poll key area. What am i doing wrong with getting it to work in lcdc. I am using the events setup in the 1st profile that comes with the software. The event to press f1 and to display the weather screen i have is setup but nothing. The up and down keys that are supposed to work the volume also do not work.

Any suggestions that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I have a feeling that the key assignments are different than what is stated in the software.

What am i doing wrong where the weather does not get updated properly. I entered in the code per the instructions and have tested it out. I get a successful read but it never updates when I start the lcdc app. Please get back to me as soon as possible.
