We have a GLK12232-25-SM display. We are developing an adapter for LCD which is to be integrated to a mail box.I have connected it to my PC(OS:Linux) and try to use the same. It was responding commands and working fine. But unfortunately, it is not responding to the commands .I tried using the matrix orbital\'s interface in windows as well. It did nt work ...We are getting some characters while changing brightness/contrast using uProject.exe. Please update me what would probably be the reason as soon as possible and what i have to do to make it work.
Thanks in advance,
Mani

Hello Philium,
Thanks for your post.
I would like to know if you are sending the command "Backlight Off" using uProject? What PCB Rev of the GLK12232-25-SM do you have?
The one thing I can think of for an 'F' to show up on the display is the possibility of a command lock on the display.
Best Regards,

I'm using a Rev 1.4 display, controlled by our custom embedded control board) and sending 2 bytes at a time (we have been using our control board to send text to Hyperterminal for some time with no issues).
I did have the LCD displaying text (2 characters at a time) no problem, and was able to clear the screen but suddenly it stopped responding correctly. Sometimes the LCD shows nothing (sending text or a command) and sometimes it displays the 2nd byte of a command ('F' in the case of 'backlight off', 'X' in the case of 'clear screen'). Cycling power does not fix it.
