Problem with LCD2041 and ethernet

Post by ThorgalRose »

Hello, I'm going to explain what I'm doing and whats the probleme.

I'm using following Products.

1X LCD2041
1X EzTCP (Seriel to TCP/IP converter
1x Seriele cable
1x Ethernet cable

I have created a working clock in VB.NET 2003 that when i press a button also says "Thanks for logging in" + the time. This can be used for checked when someone enters the building. Just next to the LCD screen there is a doorcontroller (When you use your bage the door opens).

Now when i open that programme the following text enters on my display whitout me doing annything.

"AUTODETECT AUTODETECT"

Can anybody explain how this is possible, or tell my how i should beter create a clock on LCD screens.

Thanks in advance, and my appoligues for my english but I'm from Belgium

Thanks
Raquel

Hello ThorgalRose,

Thanks for your post.

You will need to check in the code where it sends "AUTODETECT AUTODETECT". The display is definitely being told what to display, it can not display any text without any data sent to it. Check where and why this text is being sent, the condition(s) must have been met.

I hope I understood your problem correctly.

Hello,

Unfortunately, you might have to contact Bevator and ask them about this problem.
