Question

Post by Ian2k7 »

I have been interested in the idea of an LCD display many years for my pc for notifications of email, fan speed, sound graphics, and other alerts. I just built my Vista 64bit system and am contemplating it again so I thought I would just ask what & how easy is the software ?

RE: Question

Hi Ian2k7,

Thanks for your question, it's always good to see interest in our products. We have a few different software packages specific to each different kind of display we manufacture. Our most basic, alphanumeric displays are supported by an evaluation tool called uProject, as well as a third party screen creation and system monitoring program called LCDC. Having worked rather extensively with uProject, I can tell you that it is very easy to use, and a good testing tool for any alphanumeric display. To monitor system info, LCDC is also very easy to use, there are quite a few drag and drop menus, and you can view each customized screen you create before it is even sent to the display screen. Our more advanced version of uProject is called MOGD#, it is intended for evaluation of graphic displays and work is currently being done to add much of the functionality of uProject to this tool. However, there is little support for notification support at this time, and your best bet would be the GX Typhoon series. These are supported by the LCDStudio application, unfortunately, I have had little experience with this program, but there are others in this forum who have. I would suggest checking out the LCDStudio section, and/or leaving a post for our programmer Ray who is rather knowledgeable with this software, if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

Troy
