Hi,
I trying to communicate with the LCD LK202-25 using the Atmega32. I wrote a simple code but I am getting the wrong data. I know that the atmega32 delivers TTL data. do i need MAX232 in order to connect to the LCD ? another question if I don t need the MAX232 what is the problem ?
Best Regards,

Communicating with LK202-25 using Atmega32
Hello aouarra,
Thanks for your post.
The LK202-25 has the ability to communicate in RS232, TTL or I2C. I have not checked the data sheet for the ATmega32 but I am certain that the output of its USART are at TTL levels. If you put the LK202-25 in TTL mode (please section 2.3 of the manual), then you can connect the display directly to the RX and TX pins of the uC.
Please let me know how it turns out.
