LK204-25PC or GLK12232-25 ?

I've had this dilemma for almost 2 weeks now... I like the graphical features of the GLK-12232 but I also like the LK204 GPO's.

I know the 204-25PC is a very good LCD. But all in all, it would appear I have only 1 5 1/4" bay available. I could also wait for the new 20x2 available mid april.

The graphic display, on the other hand, will allow me to get 20x4 in a small display.

Please reply telling me which one of those two you have, and what feature your like or dislike the most.

I just want to make myself an idea of which one to choose! I also want to make the better choice!

Thanks!

Graphics are more fun, no question about it, and more versitile. The biggest problem is that they are hard to get to work correctly with most character LCD software. The best programs for graphics are made specifically for them. I have both character LCDs (both HD44780 and serial via a wirz backpack) and the GLK12232-25-WBL, which is frankly amazing. More software needs to be made for the graphic LCDs (I'm workin... I'm workin...) but I find they have a higher "WOW" factor.

Hi!

What problem am I to expect with LCDCenter? Do you use it?

Are you able to display 20x4 correctly?

Thanks!

Inverts just by changing the font too!

Also works with LCDstats (scrolling works), and all the all new LCDC (well in the next version) - got LCDC working with it here, very nice

Cheers,

Thanks CheeseMan

You make me go for the graphic.

I question though. What can you do with a 5V Gpo? Are LEDs the only things you can control with that?

Hey Henry! How about a graphical LCD a la LK204-25OC, with high output GPOs? Do you have one coming soon? Mid april perhaps?
