Ok, so : I bought a LCD 2041 (5 V, backlight ) on the site, I made the connexions... but it doesn't work

! I have correctly made the diskette alimentation modifications ( 1 red and 1 black wire ), and when I start my computer only the first and the third lines are turning ( and very weakly ) on. No backlight and no startup inscriptions...
Please help me !!!

Chuffin 'eck, a 12 e in me situation, this is serious!

What you describe doesn't sound good, I'll be honest. Two weak bars could be nice on a parallel display if the contrast was set low, but not on a quality display like an MO. The power-on displays used by MO are wide and varied (you cna even customise them on a lot of displays) but none of them are solid bars...

So, the display's getting power... it sounds as if the controller has be damaged at some point though

Try the MO Alpha software see if you can control the display contrast. Does the backlight ever come on?
