Is my LCD2041 Broken???

Here is a pic of my LCD2041. It was great and working and now it just display these lines. I able able to send commands like backlight on/off. Any suggestions????

Hello...

Can you turn the contrast up/down? If you can, pay particular attention to the area that is currently blank at maximum contrast. Let me know your results.

I downloaded the contrast program. And at maximum contrast the blank area is still blank.
