Hello !
I want to increase and decrease the FAN Speed of a fan connectred to the Matrix Orbital MX2 Display by pressing the right and left keys on the display.
What event in the Screen Builder do I have to set ?
OLLI
Controlling FAN with keys
The GPO must be in advanced mode (Con fig screen) Then use an event "SYS-On Keypad press" along with "GPO->Advancded->PWM Increase" (This is off the top of my head)

You can assign any key to any event, simply go into the paramter field for a keyboard event, then press the key on the keypad you want to envoke that action (Preview must be on).

not good
Hi,
I knew that already, but I got me a separate keypad (housing, keys, all in for a small price). Problem is: if I assign something to Q - F2 : it works.
If I assign to 4 on my numpad (or directly on my keyboard): nothing happens.
Tested it with turning a GPO on/of. In VirtualDJ it works (for skipping, next track,...).
How come the LCDC doesn't do it? It's the software, I defined an event, and it won't do it. Where do things go wrong? I assume LCDC gives its "4" to the MX212, and then what?

FOUND A WAY
Hi,
I activated the "hot" plugin.
Through hotkeys I can define actions for my numpad now.
Still wander why it doesn't work without the plugin (through direct input of "4".
BTW, I have to stop the display just to type a "4", if not: my led's blink like hell but that's it....
really need to think it over... 4... ahhh... above and between e and r is another 4 available. Another asci for the pc but not for me.
Pfff...

Keypad input is NOT for your PC's keyboard, only input via the LCD keypad. You CAN assign Hot-Keys (e.g. CTLR-f12) to do things using the HOT plugin as mention before.
