When should we see a VK204-24 USB ?
When will we see a USB version of the 4 line VF Display?

You cannot give us an approximate time horizon, though, can you?
Are we talking November, February, next summer?
I've got a project that I'd benefit from using a USB version over the serial version, and it will be built in October, November, so something in November or December would be nice, but if its Next April.. I may have to go with the serial flavor....

Bump....
Any ideas on a ballpark for the VK204-25-USB?
For me the issue is one of internal connectivity. The motherboard comes with one internal serial header and 4 usb port headers. As I'm connecting several devices to the motherboard, I'd like to use as many USB devices as possible.
So if you can say, probably in the next month or so or probably not til January or some such thing, it would be helpful.

I would expect the VK204-24-USB to be selling tomorrow.GermanMan wrote:Any ideas on a ballpark for the VK204-25-USB?

Is that a serious answer?
As in, so it should be available for an order next week (mid-late september)?
If so thats great news at it solves a critical internal configuration issue for me.

I hope so... we all ready have the VK202-24-USB 2x20 VFD on sale... the best part of all of this is the digital baybus posibilities the new units offer, so this means quite HTPC!!!GermanMan wrote:Well, you are likely going to make a lot of folks building home theater PC's with the Atech Fabrication cases very happy indeed.

Girder interface?
One thing mentioned in my home theater pc thread was this:
The Serial version of the VFD has software to interface it with Girder.
With the new USB version, of course, a USB interface driver is needed.
Does anyone have insight into this issue?

I don't belive this is an issue since the driver we provide will emulate a COM Port, all you will have to do is set Girder or what ever to COM 4, 5 or 6 or what ever the Display is on.
