Reading Fan RPM

Post by jcassady »

Ok so I have my LCD installed, got the USB cable plugged in, got the floppy power plugged in. Also, I have 2 80mm fans plugged in and 3 temp probes. I can get temp readings from the temp probes, but when I try to read the fan RPM in LCDC all I get is NYR for both fans... Any idea how to fix this?

Hi jcassady,

You have to configure LCDC to read the RPM. The picture below will show you how you should configure LCDC.

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post them.

Tom I have those exact settings in my LCDC settings.

Then for the screen I have the value:
[#$AdvRPM001]
and
[#$AdvRPM002]

to pull the fan RPM values, but that gives NYR.

Does your fan have 3 or 2 wires?

Tom sorry to waste your time, I'm a complete idiot. I was attemping to see the RPM's before I "Started Display" I was in the screen builder at the time. Once I started the display all worked fine....
