which model?

Post by aaronhines77 »

I have been leaning towards the mx512 but have a hard time finding sites that sell it, or even reviews. Other than cost, why would someone buy a MX2/4/6 series over mx5 series? I would be using this panel to monitor system temps/fans, etc. for a H2O cooled system. Tell me why MO products are better than Innovatek's Fan-o-matic for this product? Teach me the way!!!!!!!!

The MX512 has been reviewed at Gruntville, as well as Overclockersonline. You can find links to other MO reviews in The Rules and ANNOUNCEMENTS section.

You can find a pdf file that decribes the differences between our MX series product line here.
However I'll try to summerize the differences for you pretty quickly.

MX2 - 20x2 LCD LK202-24-USB display - 60 degree viewing angle, single bay insert, backlit
MX3 - 20x2 VFD VK202-24-USB display - 160 degree viewing angle, single bay insert, Self-luminous, no backlight required and incredibly bright
MX4 - 20x4 LCD LK204-24-USB display - 60 degree viewing angle, double bay insert, backlit
MX5 - 20x4 VFD VK204-24-USB display - 160 degree viewing angle, double bay insert, Self-luminous, no backlight required and incredibly bright
MX6 - 20x2 PLED PK202-24-USB display -160 degree viewing angle, single bay insert, Self-luminous, no backlight required and incredibly bright, lowest power consumption

Other manufacturers have not yet matched the quality of our displays, Matrix Orbital is number one in the world for our quailty and commitment to our customers. Each display is shipped with one of the most comprehensive applications available in the market, LCDC. You can find out more about LCDC here.

We have distributors all over the globe to serve you. You can check out a list of our distributors here.

If you have any more questions I would be glad to help you.

OK...i am sold on the product itself. Though, I would pay substantially more money for a much larger display (20X6-8 or more). I have already tried the "authorized retailer" links and cannot find the MX512 anywhere, as it is packaged on the website (with bay insert, etc..) Is there a different model # I should be looking for? This would be so much easier if the MO website shopping cart worked. Web support emailed me today saying it was down for a time but is now up and running. Not true...tried it on two different computers. Argh!

I will have to applogize for the trouble that has been caused by our ordering system. I don't know if it has been mentioned but our web server crashed last week, and we have been working tirelessly to get it up to 100%. Unfortunatly there is still an issue with IE explorer and our SSL certificate. I just talked to the man in charge and he told me that there is no problem using other browsers such as firefox.

So hopefully we can have this problem fixed by tommorow, however until it is fixed try using firefox. If you do not have it you can get it from Mozilla's Web Page.

Once again I do secerely apologize for the inconvenience and I hope this solves your problem.

EDIT:
The main man just nocked on my door and told me that their should be no more issues with IE. So give it a try and let me know how it works out.
