VK204-24-USB - does the display need to be behind perspex?

I've just fitted one of these and it's working fine :-)

My case originally had a smoked perspex window for the VFD display, which I've removed because the Matrix Orbital wasn't really legible behind it. It is necessary to fit a clear perspex replacement, or is it OK without?

hi tim,

As long as your happy with the appearance of your case, there's no reason why you'd have to find a replacement for the perspex. This depends more on your preference than anything else.
