I dug this out of an old rig I don't use anymore, had a wooden frame made for it and turned it into a desktop display of sorts - the next day I turned the computer on and was greeted by a 'power surge' popup message, explaining that the 'MX2/MX3/MX4 Series LCD' had caused a surge on my hub and to unplug it, check it, so on, so forth.
I plugged it back in and the display itself seems to work fine, but the backlight won't come on no matter what I do - can this be fixed, or is the unit a write-off? Can't do much with a display screen I need a torch to see properly!
