I need to change the baud rate for the RS232 line.
I try to execute the page 10, 2.6 manuel over drive, but I don't know how to make the second part of point 5 (Edit and Save settings).
After power up again, the baud rate is always 19200, no more changes.
Could you please tell me exactly how to do?
page 40, 11.3 (Data lock) must be changed?
Thank for your help. Best regards, JM Souchon
change baud rate for a LK162-12 ver 3.0
Hi Souchon,
Sorry to hear that the baud rate change isn't working out for you. If you are using uProject, this is most likely due to the fact that the baud rate changing command on the main page of the GUI does not function correctly with newer units.
The best way to make the change, using uProject, will be to open up the Uploader tab, expand the other tree, and select raw data. This allows you to send raw bytes as they are listed in the manual.
Just drag the raw data box over to the command window, and enter in the bytes shown in the manual one at a time. Each will be framed by a '/', so the command will look like '/254//57//51/' (you can also just copy and paste that into the command line.
Once you've got that command in your list, just choose execute from the menu and it will be written to your display.
Of course, you'll want to make sure you are able to communicate to the device before issuing any commands to make sure they are sent properly. Also, it's unlikely, but the data lock may be set, however, you can unset it by following the manual and using the process described above.
If you have any more trouble, please just post up here and I'll be happy to guide you through it.
Thanks,
~Troy
